Field of activity

Florian Will works in the refrigeration cycle processes team and evaluates heat pump systems using the hardware-in-the-loop methodology. A particular focus is placed on the development of modern control concepts. The aim is to increase the efficiency of the heat pump system to achieve a sustainable heat supply.

Vita

Florian Will studied mechanical engineering at RWTH Aachen University, specializing in energy technology for his bachelor's degree, and completed his master's degree in energy system design. At the same time, he supported the refrigeration cycle processes team at the Chair of Building and Room Air Conditioning Technology as a student and research assistant. Florian gained both experimental and simulative experience in heat pump regulation and control, which he further deepened during his Master's thesis. After completing his master's thesis, Florian became a research assistant at the Chair of Building and Room Air Conditioning Technology in May 2023.
